The patient is made to sit on a wooden stool and medicated oil is applied on body and head. Then a cap made from flexible leather, open on each side, is fixed on the head and the medicated oil, slightly warm, is poured onto the cap. The oil is permitted to remain within the cap for approximately 45 minutes and then the oil is drained out. Afterwards the head is wiped with a clean dry cotton cloth. Again medicated oil is applied on the body and head and the patient is given bath in warm water.
